Video Highilights: Valladolid 0-3 FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona had a comfortable 0-3 win at Valladolid tonight. Two goals from Xavi and Dani Alves in the space of a minute and one from Leo Messi completed the scoring in the second half with his 15th league goal of the season.

The team continue to break records: FC Barcelona became the 5th team in the history of La Liga to go the first half of the season unbeaten.

Pep Guardiola to remain FC Barcelona’s head coach until June 2011

Pep Guardiola, whose contract expires in June 2010, announced today at a press conference given by Joan Laporta, Txiki Begiristain and himself that he will remain the head coach of FC Barcelona for one more year… It was announced that whatever happens in the presidential elections for FC Barcelona’s presidency, Guardiola will continue as first team coach at least for the 2010/2011 season.

Spanish League: FC Barcelona 4-0 FC Seville

After a 4-0 victory over Sevilla at the Camp Nou, FC Barcelona move five points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. Escude’s own goal early in the second half put Barça on the road to victory. Pedro and Messi (x2) then added 3 goals for the home team later in the match. Messi’s first goal was his 100th official goal with FC Barcelona. He is now the leading strkier (pichichi) of the Spanish League with 14 goals
