This summer should be as eventful as the football season, with many well needed moves on the cards. FC Barcelona needs new faces, and here is what may be the new FC Barcelona team for the 2013/14, with the defense of the Liga title and reconquest of the Champions League in mind.

FC Barcelona continue its record breaking season with a 5-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao. They have set the best start in the history of La Liga with 13 wins and 1 draw. Tito Vilanova’s men completed one of the best games of the season so far and after 20 complicated minutes, Bilbao got trashed thanks to goals from Piqué, Messi (x2), Adriano and Cesc. Ibai scored in the second half to save the honor.
FC Barcelona did not miss the occasion to capitalise on Real Madrid‘s loss to widen the gap at the top of La Liga. Messi and Iniesta proved once more than the Ballon d’or should stay in Barcelona. Both had a fantastic match, with a special mention to ‘El Manchego’ who directed the play to perfection.
Barça didn’t put on a brilliant display in the first leg of the Spanish Cup matchup against Alaves (currently playing in the 3rd division). Without Xavi and Messi, goals from Villa, Iniesta and Cesc Fábregas were enough to secure the win. Return leg at the Camp Nou on 28th of November.
Yet another fantastic match from Fabregas (2 assits), backed up with a once more decisive Messi (2 goals), left no chance to a very valiant team of Rayo Vallecano, which opted for a high pressure and ball conservation… FC Barcelona won 0-5 last night in Vallecas and are still ahead of the Spanish League.
