Pep Guardiola’s squad picked up their 7th title in a bit more than a year this evening, claiming the club 20th La Liga after cruising past Valladolid. FC Barcelona took control of the game after an own goal from Valladolid’s Prieto, followed quickly by a second from Pedro. Leo Messi completed the job with two second half goals which took him to an incredible 34 league goals, 47 in total for the season.

Just Valladolid stand in the way of FC Barcelona towards La Liga title after a nerve-wracking 2-3 win at Seville FC. The Blaugrana played brilliantly for 65 minutes to go three goals up by Cantera’s players (Messi, Bojan and Pedro) but then we suffered a lapse of concentration which allowed Seville, to score twice in the space of three minutes to set up a nail-biting finish.

FC Barcelona move four points above Real Madrid tonight after a tricky victory over Tenerife. Messi scored early on but a mistake from the FC Barcelona Captain Puyol led to a Tenerife equalizer before half time. Bojan fired the Blaugrana back into the lead just after the hour before late goals from Pedro and Messi sealed the win.

FC Barcelona bounced back from the Champions League elimination with a splendid 1-4 win at Villarreal. Two goals from Leo Messi and one apiece from Xavi Hernandez and Bojan Krkic earned the Blaugrana their 28th league victory of the season, equalling the Liga record set by Real Madrid in 87/88 and FC Barcelona in 96/97.

FC Barcelona’s dream of a Champions League final in the Santiago Bernabeu was frustrated tonight Inter Milan. Despite being reduced to ten men in the 28th minute when Thiaggo Motta was sent off, it wasn’t until the 84th minute that FC Barcelona finally broke through with a goal from Gerard Piqué… but this wasn’t enough…

As expected, FC Barcelona picked up the 3 points tonight but struggled to overcome bottom placed Xerez. Pep Guardiola left Piqué, Milito, Busquets, Messi and Pedro out of the starting line-up with an eye on Wednesday’s Champions League semi final with Inter Milan. But early goals from Jeffren and Henry and a early second half goal from Zlatan Ibahimovic secured three very important points in the race for the 2009-2010 Spanish League with Real Madrid.

Turkish Airlines has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with FC Barcelona football club in a ceremony in Barcelona.

Dr. Temel KOTİL, the CEO of Turkish Airlines, the Europe’s fourth-biggest carrier by passengers and Mr. Joan Laporta, the Chairman of Barcelona, the legendary football club of the world, have together signed the contract during the ceremony.

According to the terms of this sponsorship contract, all the advertising materials and logos of Turkish Airlines will be displayed on the internal screens of the Nou Camp Stadium in Barcelona and all other locations of the team, Turkish Airlines will make commercial films with the players of the Barcelona Club and carry out the promotion of this sponsorship deal in all the arenas of advertising and mass media. As the result of this sponsorship Turkish Airlines will transport the players of Barcelona to all the tournaments and training camps as well.

With title of “the official sponsor” Turkish Airlines will also have the title of “the 3rd international official sponsor” of Barcelona, the football giant made history by winning 6 trophies in one single season (2008-2009), outside Spain.

Inter Milan defeated FC Barcelona (3-1) tonight in the Champions League semi final first leg. Pedro Rodriguez gave us a hopeful start by opening the scoring in the 19th minute but we failed to control the game and Inter hit back with goals from Sneijder, Maicon and Diego Milito.
