FC Barcelona took a giant step towards claiming his second consecutive Liga tonight with a thoroughly deserved 0-2 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. A first half goal from the unstoppable Leo Messi put the Blaugrana on the road to victory and Pedro added a second in the 56th minute which left Madrid floundering.

For the sixth consecutive year, Real Madrid did not make it to the quarterfinals of the Champions League after tonight’s elimination in the last 16 of the competition. Three weeks after losing in Lyon (0-1) in the first leg of their matchup, they could not get a win, tonight, in their home stadium of Santiago Bernabeu. Cristiano Ronaldo scored an early goal (Min ’6), and despite an impressive domination over the match in the first half, Real Madrid could not score a second goal. Olympique Lyon midfielder Pjanic scored an equalizer with 15 minutes to go and ruined Florentino Perez’s plan to have his Real Madrid win the Champions League in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

FC Barcelona signed an impressive victory against Real Madrid in the Clasico at the Camp Nou Stadium. After Ibrahimovic’s goal, the Blaugrana controlled the match (even after Busquets second yellow card) with an incredible defensive match from Carles Puyol. FC Barcelona is on the first spot in the Spanish League ranking.

Without playing, the FC Barcelona is now officially the new Spanish League Champion after the Real Madrid’s loss at Villareal 3-2.

FC Barcelona plays tomorrow in Mallorca and Pep Guardiola should leave his best players on the bench to spare them for the Champions League final against Manchester United.

The FC Barcelona crushed Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu and is now getting closer to the Championship title.

Pep Guardiola didn’t have much choice but to use his top players against Real Madrid, only 4 points behind in the Championship quest. Each scoring 2 goals, Thierry Henry and Leo Messi contributed to a historci victory in this year’s Clasico against their biggest rival : Real Madrid. They are now 7 points ahead with 4 remaining matches and could win the Spanish League in the next round if they beat Villareal and Real Madrid doesn’t win.
