The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2017-2018 took place this afternoon in Nyon. The quarterfinal fixtures are now known. Check out the list of upcoming Champions League matches:
Barcelona FC – AS Roma
FC Barcelona, led by a stratospheric Messi in recent weeks, will be opposed to Roma, with the disadvantage (?) of playing the return leg in Rome. Ernesto Valverde’s men face this double confrontation as a favorite after their demonstration against Chelsea in the round of 16.
Real Madrid – Juventus
Real Madrid will be opposed to Juventus Turin. Zinedine Zidane’s squad will play the return leg at Santiago Bernabéu and will be able to count on Cristiano Ronaldo, his providential man in the Champions League, to make the difference and qualify for the semi-finals.
Bayern Munich – Sevilla FC
Bayern Munich will first travel to Seville before receiving at the Allianz Arena a week later. FC Seville, the surprise team in these quarterfinals, will have nothing to lose against the Bavarian giants and will try to re-edit the feat accomplished against Manchester in the previous round.
Liverpool – Manchester City
Finally, a 100% English clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. Guardiola’s Citizens will play the return leg at home and could confirm their excellent season with a qualification in the last four of the Champions League. But never underestimate the heart and soul of Liverpool. The confrontation of 2 styles (Guardiola / Klopp) promises to be explosive in goals.
The quarter-finals first legs will be played on April 3rd and 4th. The quarter-finals second legs on the 10th and 11th of the same month.
