FC Barcelona welcome back the International players after the 2014 World Cup

A total 8 of FC Barcelona’s international players ended their holiday following the World Cup, and underwent a series of medical tests this morning before the day’s 1st coaching session.

Six of them from the Spanish National team (Piqué, Xavi, Alba, Busquets, Pedro and Iniesta), plus Ivan Rakitic (Croatia) and Alex Song (Cameroon).

All of the tests were dispensed within FC Barcelona’s medical facilities. The players were subjected to a sum of analyses, including a bio-mechanical and stress tests, an ultrasound, an cardiogram, and a measurement of body composition with a DXA scan.

Twenty-two men took part within the morning session, eight of them from the first team and therefore the rest from the reserves.
The first team players included German goalkeeper Ter Stegen, Montoya, Bartra, Rafinha, Masip, Afellay, Sergi Roberto and Deulofeu.

Two were absent from today’s session, Adriano, with heart issues, and Barcelona B striker, Jean-Marie Dongou. Both of whom had specific workout.

New signing from Valencia, Jérémy Mathieu, who was presented later that same day, will start training with the first team tomorrow.

Leo Messi is believed to be back to training on August 4th.
