Already Spanish League Champion since yesterday after Real Madrid’s loss at Villareal (2-3), Only Samuel Eto’o (still running for Pichichi) and the pair Alves-Abidal (suspended for the Champions League Final) were in the starting 11, along with eight players usually playing substitutes. Even Lionel Messi and Victor Valdes started on the bench.
Eto’o scored an early goal in the 10th minute and missed 5 goal opportunities before Mallorca scored twice in the second half.
